Cypress Point Golf Club, located just outside San Diego, California is home to the best-designed course in the country; Jack Nicklaus’ first 18-hole design in Southern California. This unique layout has been voted Best New Course by Golf Digest Magazine four times.

Cypress Point Golf Club was built at the end of World War II, and it was designed by renowned golf course architect Alister MacKenzie. Located on the outskirts of downtown Las Vegas, this best golf course features a number of stunning water hazards that have transformed this 18-hole championship resort into one of the best golf courses in the country. This beautiful location was chosen for its proximity to the Las Vegas Strip. In fact, the club’s clubhouse sits directly across from the famous Mirage Hotel, where guests can enjoy their meals overlooking the cityscape and the lights of the strip.
Cypress Point has been home to many professional events including PGA Tour Qualifying School, the Nationwide Invitational Tournament, and the Valspar Championship. Additionally, the club hosted the first three editions of the Ryder Cup in 1997, 2003, and 2019. There are four sets of tees and greens along with 11 different sand traps on this remarkable golf course. Players will find three types of pin placements and 12 bunkers throughout the entire design. One of the most unique aspects of this golf course is its use of numerous waterfalls, fountains, and ponds. These water features are not only aesthetically pleasing but they add a great deal of depth to the playability of the entire course.
The overall length of these fairways is 7,853 yards long, which makes Cypress Point one of the longest layouts in the world. However, the average distance per hole is just over 567 yards, making this exciting and challenging course perfect for players of all skill levels.

Ocean Forest Golf Course
Ocean Forest Golf Course in Mexico was created by Scottish golf architect Alister MacKenzie. He designed the layout of the greens and fairways to resemble the shape of the native tropical palm trees that can be found along the Pacific coastline. This provides the course with a unique look that can only be enjoyed from the first tee box down through the 18th green. The natural beauty of the land has allowed the area to remain relatively untouched by modern civilization. Most of the original vegetation remains intact even today. This gives visitors to Ocean Forest Golf Club the opportunity to experience nature in its purest form.
